Meet Ms. Jessi
My name is Jessica Brotherton... aka Ms. Jessi. I’m a 3rd-generation teacher and this is my 10th year teaching. My B.S. degree and teaching certificate are in Early Childhood Education, so my lessons are crafted with high expectations while maintaining developmentally appropriate practices.
I have a Reading Endorsement and trained in the Orton Gillingham approach through Brainspring. I have extensive experience integrating Science of Reading methodologies and programs like
The Secret Stories, UFLI, From Sounds to Spelling, and Guided Phonics and Beyond in my classroom. My classes effectively help children
who learn differently to bridge academic gaps, grow their
confidence, and develop an excitement for learning. Learning can and should be fun! Children understand and retain the most when they engage multiple senses and enjoy the process.
I love to travel, explore, and learn about new cultures. I taught in Guatemala for 7 years and can’t wait to go back! When I win the lottery, I will open an animal shelter. I have reached maximum capacity of adopted animals!
Why Brogirls?
My grandma, mom and I are the Brotherton family... the Brogirls! We are the 3 generations of elementary school teachers. My mom and I are teaching Duo and have taught and traveled the world together for almost a decade!

At Brogirls Learning Center, we are passionate about helping all children discover a love of learning. Our lessons perfectly balance systematic and explicit instruction with opportunities for exploration and discovery.
We create an engaging environment that lets students strengthen foundational skills and apply their learning with multi-sensory practice, educational games, and project-based learning. We encourage our students to feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes as they develop and fine tune their new skills and build their confidence!

The Homeschool Pod offers a fun and personalized education with a certified teacher and a class size of 5 students.
This program is perfect for primary students working on kindergarten Language Arts and Math concepts.
Science, Social Studies Art, Social & Emotional Learning, and Spanish are incorporated in core classes.
